Theatre games, imagination, movement and fun characterize the after-school Theatre Program. A highlight is the Fall Play, which is open to the entire school community by audition. Ramona is proud to be a part of the ComedySportz High School League, the largest, most successful improvisation training program for high school students in the country. The league empowers students to create their own theatre and nourishes their communication skills through improvisational theatre workshops and performances.
It encourages individuality and provides a forum to succeed or fail in a safe environment that combines showmanship with sportsmanship. The ComedySportz Team trains and competes all year, with special performances, including a hilarious faculty-student competition, held on campus in the spring.
ComedySportz is an incredibly vibrant, nurturing, and creative safe space. Our students find that this extracurricular activity goes beyond stage work into everyday situations. We are proud that Ramona's team has proven itself to be a tough and formidable competitor, all while providing us with tons of laughter and fun.
Being in Chamber Singers has helped me break out of my comfort zone, express who I am, and become a more creative person. I'm inspired to share this gift with my community.
