CONGRATULATIONS TO THE CLASS OF 2018

Image

Empowered and ready to make a difference in the world, the Class of 2018 celebrated on Saturday, May 26 in the Rose Heath gardens of Ramona Convent. It was a picture-perfect day for Ramona's traditional graduation ceremony where fifty-seven graduates walked down the aisle with confidence and joy, holding their yellow roses and smiling excitedly at proud relatives and friends. Ariadna Calva, Salutatorian, spoke on behalf of the Class of 2018. We were also honored to welcome our guest speaker, Fatima Djelmane Rodriguez '97, who is Executive Director of Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times. All of the graduates were accepted to four-year colleges. Click here to see where they've been accepted. They completed 11,645 hours of service and as of today, these young women have been offered a total of $5,234,754 in merit scholarships. (Merit scholarships are based on academic record – not financial need). By the numbers:

33% Highest Honors – 100% Life Membership: California Scholarship Federation

19% Life Membership: California Scholarship Federation

46% - National Honor Society members

17% Life Membership: Philomatheon Scholastic Honor Society

JOIN US FOR SUMMER SCHOOL - TAKE ARCHERY, VISUAL ARTS, OR TRIGONOMETRY

Image

Become an archer this summer!

Archery Champs is bringing their program to our campus. Each day every student will learn and practice a new archery skill and then finish the day with an exciting game like Exploding Balloons and Archery Tic Tac Toe. Bring your friends and learn a new skill! This class is open to both junior high and high school students.

Are you entering PreCalculus next year?

Join our summer trigonometry class to improve your critical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities. This class will meet only three times per week, giving you plenty of free time to continue to enjoy summer vacation! Be a more confident math student next year by continuing to strengthen your skills.

Would you like to take visual arts this summer to satisfy one semester of your arts requirement?

Take Visual Arts and develop your drawing skills and techniques. Most of the assignments focus on drawing from observation. Students will be able to express their creativity with projects using a variety of media including pencil, charcoal, pastel, ink, and prisma color. The extended class time enables students to maintain their focus and work through an assignment in one or two classes rather than having to start, stop, and clean up at short intervals.

Students who have taken VA I and II may enroll for a single semester of VA III in the summer.
