Nathalie '19 says:
"Prioritize schoolwork and academics both now and in the future. Find a school that offers the subjects that interest you. Also look for a school that offers subjects that you have not been exposed to in the past. Maybe you have a hidden gift or talent that has not been brought out yet!"

Explore how you can challenge yourself with the curriculum offered at Ramona.

Nyah '19 says:

Maya '20 says:
"It is so important that you consider the community, campus facilities, and overall feel you get when you set foot on the campus. You should be able to envision yourself there for the next four years. Visiting the school is the first start!"

Ariel '19 says:
"Get as much information as you possibly can about the school you are applying to. Don't be afraid to ask questions to current students, parents, alumnae, faculty, and administrators. Picking a high school is a huge decision so you want to be sure you know all about where you will be spending the next four years. Your high school should be the place where you learn and grow as a person. Look for a school that will support you, your goals, and your aspirations."

INTERNATIONAL COASTAL CLEANUP DAY

Ramona students, alumnae, faculty, and staff recently visited Belmont Pier in Long Beach to pick up trash for International Coastal Cleanup Day. Last year, over 3 million pounds of trash were collected from beaches all over the world. There weren't too many large items to pick up, but the beach was littered with thousands of tiny pieces of plastic that were broken down from larger pieces dumped into the ocean. It's the small pieces that are the most dangerous to sea life because they are so easy to swallow. Consequently, toxins from the swallowed plastic are absorbed into the bodies of fish. We also ingest these toxins when we eat fish that swallowed plastic. Congratulations to everyone who helped clean up our environment!
