Parent Activities

We welcome parents to walk beside their daughters as they navigate the joys and challenges of high school.

Young women thrive when their parents are appropriately involved in their daily lives, so we provide many formal and informal avenues for parents to participate in the Ramona community.

Parents

The Ramona Parent Group supports Ramona students and the school, enhances communication between the school and school families, provides a voice for parents in school decisions, builds community, and has fun.

Parent Group meetings always include a faculty guest speaker who updates parents on topics relevant to them and their daughters.

Recent speakers have included Mr. Alberto Chavarria, Director of Guidance and College Admission, on the college admission process; Mrs. Halina Szymanski, Associate Principal for Curriculum and Faculty Development, on course selection; and Ms. Mary Mansell, Principal, on “Digital Nutrition and Healthy Brains.”

Parents assist in planning events such as “La Fete,” the school’s annual benefit. Ramona Parent Ambassadors support the admission team and help out with events such as the Admission Tea.

The Ramona E-Newsletter keeps families in the loop on all the events in school life.

PowerSchool and Naviance are online programs that provide up-to-date information on student academic progress and the college application process. Each student and family has an individual account.
