Textbook Ordering Information

The booklist is available at StudentDirect (Adams Online Bookstore). To access Student Direct, the book company, follow the Student Direct Book Ordering Instructions below.

Student class schedules will be available the first week of July. We strongly recommend that you wait to receive your class schedule before purchasing textbooks.

Please review these textbook changes for next year before purchasing any used books from either another Ramona student or from a 3rd party vendor. As you purchase used books this summer please check that the ISBN number matches the book listed on our K12 Bookstore list, which will be available in July 6.

Also remember that some books have online components that are used regularly in class, such as our Spanish and French texts. When purchasing a used textbook, you are not getting the online version as well, you are only purchasing the book. Please be sure that your daughter has access to and has purchased the online resources she needs.

The following books WILL NOT be used again next year:

Theology Department: ALL Theology 9, Theology 10 and Theology 11 books are being replaced and updated. Only 12th grade Theology books will be used again next year. Do not purchase used Theology books for grades 9 – 11.

Please purchase them online through another vendor, such as Amazon.

Theology 12
Finding My Voice: A Young Woman's Perspective
ISBN #9780867168945

The Bibles currently being used by our 10th – 12th graders can not be sold back to an incoming 9th or 10th grader. The versions are a little different, and new students will need the newer version of this Bible.

English Department: The Great Grammar Book will no longer be used by 9th and 10th graders.

Biology: Biology Students: Please purchase your dissecting kit through the K12 online bookstore.

Biology textbooks can not be purchased through our K12 Bookstore. Please purchase them online through another vendor, such as Amazon.

ISBN# 0805300139 Biology: Concepts and Connections (4th Edition) Biology Honors 2003

Used Textbook and Uniform Sale:

Students may purchase used textbooks at the Used Textbook and Uniform Sale on Thursday, July 13, from 3-4 p.m. in the gym. All sales are student-to-student. No change will be available. Buyers should bring small bills; the student seller will determine if she will accept checks or not. Ramona is not responsible for returned checks.

Campus Ministry sponsors a Used Uniform Sale in the gym at the same time as the Used Textbook Sale.

Student Direct Book Ordering Instructions

We have partnered with K12 Student Direct to operate our online bookstore. K12 Student Direct is operated by a reliable and experienced educational book distributor with seventy years of experience.

Starting July 6, visit the website at, set up an account, search for your courses and assigned materials, add them a virtual shopping cart, and checkout with the shipping method of your choice.

You are welcome to search for items across other retailers, but we have taken the time to partner with K12 Student Direct and we urge you to use our partner for the following reasons:

1. They offer a generous discount on books, competitive with what you will find other places online.
2. By using the online bookstore that we’ve created with K12 Student Direct, your daughter will be guaranteed to purchase the exact version of the book selected by the teacher. In the past, we’ve run into problems when students and parents have searched for a book on their own and ended up coming into a class with the wrong edition.
3. K12 Student Direct is set up to deliver books in time for classes. Many e-retailers can take several weeks to deliver items or will charge fees to guarantee quicker delivery.
4. Your purchase through K12 Student Direct helps to support the school. When most of the students in a course purchase through a single site, it makes it possible for the faculty to receive teacher editions and other support materials.
5. K12 Student Direct also makes available many used, reconditioned books as a cost efficient alternative to buying new.
6. Textbooks purchased from K12 Student Direct, whether new or used, will always be purchased back from students if the school is using the book the following year. This is simpler and more cost-effective than dealing with an unaffiliated online retailer.
7. Reliability and security: K12 Student Direct as our partner guarantees the security of your payment information and full support from their customer service team.
8. One-stop shopping for digital books: You will receive a centralized location for purchasing, retrieving your login credentials, and receiving support.

In short, you can get all of your daughter’s books from one source and in most cases in one shipment, without the hassles of shopping across different stores.

The K12 Student Direct online bookstore is our official book service. If you search the web for new or used books, please pay special attention to ISBN numbers when ordering from other sources. We can easily assist you if there is an issue with K12Student Direct. We are unable to assist you when problems arise with another Internet bookseller.

Thank You,
