Service

Tigers love to serve their community!

"Spending time with people different from us and who live on the margins changes us and expands our worldview. This kind of exposure also helps us discover what breaks our hearts and what ignites our passions. As Gandhi said, 'Be the change you wish to see in the world.'"

Sister Anna Keim, Director of Service and Social Justice

Through service Ramona students contribute to the lives of others throughout the Los Angeles area. They discover they have the power to change the world around them while developing compassion and character.

Throughout the year, students join in many school-sponsored service opportunities such as the beach cleanup, the human trafficking walk, and the food bank. They also serve in nursing homes, food banks, libraries and more. The all-school service day is a highlight of every year.

Students who complete 100 and 200 hours of service receive the 100 hour and 200 hour Star Service Award.

"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world: Indeed it’s the only thing that ever has.”
Margaret Mead
