Ramona would not be the school it is today if it were not for the remarkable support of its parents.
Parents are a critical element in the success of Ramona’s annual fundraising efforts, strengthening and sustaining the extraordinary opportunities of a Ramona education. Through the years, the school has identified the following areas in which parent support has been vital to this success:
Every Ramona family is required to participate in Ramona’s annual giving program. Pledges and payment arrangements are made through the Development Office and must be in place prior to the first day of school.Payments may be made monthly, semi-monthly, or annually via cash, check or online using your credit card.
For more information about Ramona’s Parent Pledge Program, please contact Ms. Genevieve Cerda ’01 in the Development Office at (626) 282-4151, ext. 113.
This annual opportunity drawing student raffle benefits every student as it helps subsidize student activities such as buses for retreats and field trips, guest speakers and programs for assemblies, lunches for the Ramona Goes to Work series, and special school-wide activities such as Rose Week and Spirit Week, etc. Held every fall, the opportunity drawing offers a $2,000 1st Prize, a $1,000 2nd Prize, a $500 3rd Prize, and $100 prize for the student who sold the winning 1st Prize ticket. Every Ramona family is required to sell a minimum of $100.00 in tickets each fall.
Thanks to the generosity of the William H. Hannon Foundation, Ramona is able to offer a trip for two to Maui, with eight days and seven nights at the Royal Lahaina Resort on Kaanapali Beach, one of the world’s great beaches. The suggested donation for the tickets is $5 each, or $50 for the entire sheet of twelve tickets. Proceeds from the Hawaii Drawing are used to help Ramona continue its commitment to excellence both inside and outside the classroom. Every Ramona family is required to sell $50.00 worth of Hawaii tickets each spring.
Ramona’s most important fundraising event of the year, La Fête is a fun-filled evening of live and silent auctions, dinner and dancing. Held on Ramona’s beautiful campus in the spring, La Fête provides the entire Ramona community – current parents, past parents, alumnae, faculty, staff and other friends – a chance to celebrate Ramona while raising vital funds for the school.
All proceeds from La Fête are used to help Ramona continue its commitment to educating young women for life.
Every Ramona family is required to support La Fête doing at least one of the following:
- Purchasing one (1) ticket to La Fête at $100.00
- Donating $100.00 or more in requested auction items
- Donating $100.00 in cash or requested gift cards (with activation receipt).
In addition to the activities outlined above, parents can further support Ramona’s fundraising efforts by serving on the planning committee for La Fête and volunteering at special events and other school activities. For more information about volunteering for La Fête and other fundraising events, please contact Ms. Genevieve Cerda ’01 in the Development Office at (626) 282-4151, ext. 113.
